Sculptures
All of my sculptures are made out of found objects. This art form is the best way I know to recycle and help our environment.
Paintings & Murals
Painting takes me to a zone of a meditative state. It doesn't matter if it is on canvas, wood, or a wall I could paint for hours and lose track of time. I am available for commissions.
Teaching Art
I have been teaching art for over 17 years. Mostly to high school students. The biggest satisfaction of my job is to empower young creative minds. I love to see that sparkle in their eyes when they are creating a piece of art. Being around young artists keeps me inspired and gives me energy. On many occasions, I've had the privilege of teaching different workshops for teachers. It is an honor to share projects that will help my colleagues in their classrooms.

ABOUT ME

My name is Ana Valdez. I was born in El Paso and raised in Sunland Park, NM, and in Mexico City. Art is my passion my studio is my sanctuary. I love to paint, create sculptures, work in ceramics, up-cycle denim with embroidery, and take photographs. Creating sculptures out of found objects is what I've been focusing on the most. Saving the environment by creating art with trash is the best way I know how to contribute. I started by joining an initiative to save the planet by up-cycling trash and creating art. Now it has become one of my signature styles. These sculptures are unique and they have a personality of their own. My heart is full as I create them. I hope you enjoy viewing my compilation of what was once considered trash but can now be considered a treasure and all the other art that is here. Most of the artwork on this website is for sale, message me if you are interested.
